Ben turned 3 on Sunday and to celebrate we threw a cactus party! Ben has these cactus pants from Zara that he loves, so I thought it would be fun to throw him a cactus party! My great friend Heather of HRJ Events styled and planned the entire thing! She outdid herself once again! Her and Josie of Chalk Chic Mama crushed it in the creativity department! Josie hand lettered and designed the chalk art, which was one of my favorite elements of the day. She used Ben’s fiesta invite designed by Kirra Reyna on Etsy as inspiration! Glaze Bakery designed enough green donuts to make a cactus shaped donut wall and Cupcake Blues made Ben the perfect Funfetti ombre cake topped with a tiny cactus. I found Stefanie Rosales on istagram she designed the perfect little cactus cookies! Heather found me the Southwestern teepee in aqua on Target.com for the gifts and I found the giant donut floatie on Amazon! We browsed pinterest and found some cute little cactus tatoos from Love and Lion on Etsy! Heather’s husband built the kids table, we had a sangria bar for the adults and a tiny taco bar. There was no way I could prepare any of this myself so I bought the 6.99 Sangria from Costco and added some fruit and called La Fuente’s and had them prepare all the ingredients for us to pick up ahead of time. My husband worked the day of the party so I had all 3 boys alone, the hardest part was getting Ben to take a nap, I had a friend run all my errands and fill up the giant balloons while I stayed with the kids, I would not have gotten anything done if it wasn’t for her! Ben really enjoyed the Cactus cookies, the giant balloons, and the cake! He really loved his party he is still talking about it!
