A backyard love story inspired by the roaring 20’s. Caitlin & Torin’s Great Gatsby Wedding was as beautiful as it sounds. Their wedding colors of rose gold, champagne, and burgundy were perfect among the red Bartlett pears in the groom’s grandparent’s orchard.
Caitlin got ready in the most beautiful custom build white Joanna Gaines styled farm house overlooking the river. The natural light just poured in from every window. We took over her soon to be Mother in law’s master suite where she had her hair and makeup styled in true Great Gatsby fashion. Her Badgley Mischka wedding shoes and Casablanca wedding gown draped behind her as the perfect getting ready backdrop. She wore a sweet birdcage veil, and her bridesmaids all chose their own gowns in colors of rose golds, champagne, and burgundy.
They were surrounded by their closest friends and family for their evening ceremony. With views overlooking the river, they said their handwritten vows and shared their beautiful love story with all in attendance.
Caitlin and Torin chose to see each other for the first time during her walk down the aisle. Because of this we had a very relaxed morning and photographed the bridal party after the ceremony at sunset. The lighting was perfect, golden hour is always my favorite time of day. The way the sun filtered through the bridesmaids dresses was just gorgeous. I always love when the bridesmaids are in mix matched gowns, it adds such depth and personality to the bridal party portraits.
After photographing the bridal party and family formals I was able to sneak off with just the bride and groom before heading to their reception. We snagged only a few moments but we didn’t need much as these two were absolute naturals. Caitlin’s beautiful swept curls were so regal and classic, Torin’s slim fit black tux complimented their Great Gatsby wedding. With only a few gestures we captured some of the most sincere moments. With sweet embrace they looked longingly at each other, giggled, and walked hand in hand as they made their way through the tall grasses into the sunset.
Cafe lights were strung from his grandparent’s pear trees, creating a magical ambiance. They had a beautiful turquoise car which was a fun addition to their Great Gatsby wedding. They danced under the moonlight to conclude their fairytale wedding.
