Hannah & Dave’s Leavenworth mountain wedding was something out of a fairy tale! Ethereal, sunlit, and stunning! Ashley Coffin of Gather coordinated and planned an absolutely breathtaking event! White tents with a mountainous backdrop, an arbor dripping with flowers designed by Apple Blossom Floral a cloud scattered sky, and mild August temperatures. Dave grew up in Leavenworth so it was only fitting to celebrate their wedding in the mountains where he grew up! Last fall we ventured up the Icicle for their engagement photos, check out their woodland engagement session! Phil Bentz of Stone Castle Photography spent the day with me as my 2nd photographer, his unique eye and attention to detail was invaluable.
One of the groomsmen brought Hannah a gift from Dave and instructed her to open it. I was told not to miss this, so I knew it was going to be good! Hannah started reading the letter and got so excited! She instantly shouted ” I get a dog!!! I get a dog! YAY I get a dog!!” It was so fun to see! I quickly switch my camera to video and pressed record! Your not going to want to miss this! Watch it here!!
Hannah and Dave rented VRBOs right on the Leavenworth Golf Course, these made for a great backdrop to photograph their first look and formals. Hannah’s sister Jillian snagged me and asked if we could suprise her with a first look with her dad before Dave, so we surprised Hannah with a dad and daughter first look! It was sweet to watch! We quickly snagged Dave and had him walk backwards through the golf course since Hannah was already outside, he was a trooper! They were too cute together!
The bridal party was a blast! They wore gray and blue! Hannah’s friend Nick got to join the ladies in their bridal party, which made for some really fun photos! Hannah is a twin so it was a must to get some sister photos! After their formals we all hopped in our cars and headed for the mountains!
How amazing is this venue! Look how those mountains look painted! I just wanted to say “your mountains are calling!” Ashley outdid herself! Everything looked amazing! I absolutely LOVE the vintage photobooth tailor! Glamp Photobooth is always a fun addition to any wedding!
Their ceremony was beautiful and sunlit, but not too hot! When Hannah and I met up a few weeks back, I knew the sun would be setting right in her face if she walked down the traditional left side of the aisle, so I asked if she cared walking down the right side instead. She did not mind at all and I am so thankful she trusted me! Her ceremony photos turned out stunning! No shadows blazing across her face, all the ladies had the sun to their backs! This made for such wonderful ceremony photos!
Right after their ceremony we went out into the field for their sunset photos! O my gosh!! I am in love with every single one of them! I had Phil take over while I loaded my film up and captured some medium format film portraits on my Pentax. Their sunset portraits are so filled with light and ethereal, exactly how I like them! They embraced under the setting sun while we directed subtle gestures and captured these two on the day they will always remember!
