Abby’s light and airy film photos in Leavenworth was the perfect complement to her style and personality. As an avid swimmer it was only fitting we photographed her film photos along the Icicle River in Leavenworth. Her soft mint lace dress is the perfect color for light and airy film photos photographed beautifully on Fuji 400.
If you love film, then you are in luck because so do I! Film photography is making a comeback in a huge way! Like we learned in economics 101, supply and demand play a big roll in the film photography industry. For instance, Kodak Professional only produces enough film to supply demand. As photographers, and as clients we can single-handedly bring film photography back, by supporting artists who choose film as their preferred medium.
Building a community of like-minded creatives is so important to feel inspired. Learning film can sometimes feel like you are out on an island. The film community is growing in numbers and it is up to us to keep film relevant and accessible. Join our Facebook group, The Film Group to keep the community growing!
If you are a photographer and want to learn more about shooting film I offer online photography mentorships and in-person photography mentorships. I am also hosting a one-day film photography workshop in Lake Chelan, Washington in May 2020. If film photography feels like a mystery to you but it is something you have been wanting to learn let’s make it happen! In the meantime download my favorite resources for film photography.
